SELEX Sistemi Integrati signs news contract in Ukraine

SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company, has signed a contract with the Ukrainian air navigation service provider UkSATSE.
The contract underwritten with UkSATSE deals with the supply of logistic support relevant to the five primary ATCR33S and the five secondary SIR-S radars which the customer acquired from SELEX Sistemi Integrati in the past.
The supply will contribute to the technological upgrade of the Ukrainian airports in view of the European football Championship in June 2012.
This new contract follows on from the 2006 sale of the ten SELEX Sistemi Integrati radar systems and more recent agreements dating from 2010 and 2011.
Last year, SELEX Sistemi Integrati signed a contract with UkSATSE to provide five secondary radars (SIR-S enhanced) to guarantee the complete coverage of the whole en route national airspace, and two new systems made of a primary and a secondary radar (two ATCR-33S advanced and two SIR-S enhanced) for the airports of Donetsk and Kharkov, cities where the qualifying matches for the European football championship will take place.
Other contracts already signed deal with the supply of a WAM (Wide Area Multilateration) system with 18 ADS-B stations for the airport of Kiev.
