ENAV wins Kenya and Romania contracts

Italy’s ANSP ENAVcontinues its expansion into foreign markets with two new international tenders in Kenya and Romania for flight inspections services.
The two €1m+ contracts to validate and calibrate radio signals of air navigation systems at airports in both countries last for 12 months.
ENAV already operates in Albania, Poland, Ukraine, Germany, Turkey, Cyprus, Libya, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Trinidad and Tobago, China and Malaysia.
“These first steps of our business development abroad are very important and significant for us,”said CEO of ENAV Massimo Garbini. “the contracts signed will help the health of our income – particularly in this moment of crisis in air transportation – that, with a significant reduction of flights, is affecting very negatively our core business. We are also proud to represent Italian excellence in so delicate and highly specialized field.”
ENAV’S Flight Inspection Unit is responsible for the continuous monitoring of radio signals, such as RADAR, ILS (precision landing systems) air navigation aids (VOR, DME), which provide correct indications to the aircraft during takeoff, landing and navigation.
ENAV Flight Inspection Unit carries out the activities through its own fleet of new aircraft, performing more than 2,000 flight hours per year.
