COMSOFT and ATRiCS are teaming to develop a comprehensive solution for full and accurate surface surveillance.

The two companies said they recognize a rising demand both for greenfield A-SMGCS systems as well as for the replacement of first generation A-SMGCS systems.

At the same time, leading airports are introducing automation
and airport safety nets and demand better coverage and flexibility.

Manfred Schmid, COMSOFT CEO said: “COMSOFT is known for its flexible and reliable surface surveillance, multi sensor data fusion and tracking. The ATRiCS Tower Pad iTWP, with its advanced guidance and control functions ideally complements the COMSOFT portfolio.”

Wolfgang Hatzack, ATRiCS CEO commented: “Full airport safety nets today need a surveillance infrastructure adapted and customized to the airport. An airport should be able to continually adapt the surveillance infrastructure and to add temporary sensor elements during airport refurbishment works. With the ATRiCS Surface Manager SMAN an airport can audit and tune the surveillance system and continually adjust to take account of developments and temporary changes.”

Both companies have already been working together on several projects and look forward to further enhanced cooperation.
