ERA posts record €3.6m profits

Czech supplier of passive surveillance systems ERA posted record €3.6m profits for 2014

The company reported revenues of €19 million and an accounting profit of €3.6 million for the financial year, representing a record profit in the company’s 20-year history.

“ERA is in the best shape ever. The amount of new contracts has grown, so we also have orders to deliver our systems both for this and next year,” stated ERA managing director Viktor Sotona

The company increased the volume of job orders in the civil area and managed to complete the contract process with several military customers who have purchased VERA-NG DPET systems which significantly boosted revenues compared with the previous period.

Research and development activities were emphasized and therefore there has been a need to continuously strengthen and stabilize human resources. The company has opened two branch offices in cities where the top Czech technical universities are located in hopes of future recruitment of needed specialists. One branch is located at Omnipol Group headquarters in Prague and one in the building of Technology Innovation Transfer Chamber in Brno. The number of ERA employees increased by 20 per cent to its current headcount of 260.
